For the digital exams of 2020, Howest wants to use facial recognition software from a third party. This means that every student who needs to do exams, is forced to allow a private companies to record, analyse and store their personal data. This is an invasion of privacy and case of forced consent.
We are students of Howest who do not want their privacy surrendered to private companies.
We are sad to see that Howest would blatantly force students to take part in this.
We want Howest to look for any other method to conduct digital examinations with regard for student consent and privacy.
